"The Rest was my charge when I was a guardian. I live for it's success, I bleed for it's prosperity, and I would die to see it survive. The Exile's Rest will provide for you if you are ill, we will give you a place to recover if you are injured. But do not mistake our kindness for weakness. Any dead weight will be culled."

The the beginning, all there was was the search.

The ground was softer in the Lightweaver's domain than in her homeland, but the long trek had been painful. And at the end of the search wasn't a dragon or an item, it was a territory, an ideal. Mitten's desire for a lair, a safehaven, had created the Exile's Rest. Rosella was bound to it, no matter the location or makeup. As the clan expanded, her charge remained well protected.

Rosella is the armor to the rest, and it's most deadly sword. Any dragon not pulling their weight is scrutinized and judged. Even her mate was at risk of being forced to leave the Rest until he provided services. It would have been unseemly otherwise, no matter how much she cares for him.

She is fair but harsh, and even though she is now a Ridgeback she views the Rest as her charge. Nothing is more important than it.
