This version of "lycanthropy" originated by curse and can be spread by Moonbeast bite (on a full moon), or by birth. Moonbeasts are influenced by the moon like traditional werewolves. All have a permanent wolf/beast-like appearance, and by night they "revert" becoming primal, savage, bloodthirsty, and destructive. The degree to which they "lose control" depends on the phase of the moon. Physical features such as claws, fangs, and build become more exaggerated and pronounced as the moon phase progresses towards Full. Some Moonbeasts have worked so hard to discipline themselves that they only lose complete control on nights of the full moon.

Hatched by Drekven for the Wheel of Colours Hatchery. Bluemoon is the moonbeast colouration that can be bred for most rarely, as they can only be hatched under a blue moon or a solar/lunar eclipse. In 2019 there will only be 3 possible hatch dates.

Cobalt is the mineral "Blaafarveværket" (the blue colour worshop) uses for their world famous blue glass. It is located in Norway. The cobalt gives the glass a strong, deep blue that is still transparent. Blaafarveværket is also surrounded by a park, playground, museum and a farm. It is a widely known family attraction, shop and national heritage.
