After fleeing from the Starfall Isles due to losing a major battle against a rival clan, the Gossamer Clan sought refuge in the Scarred Wasteland. There, they struggled to adjust to the harsher landscape, losing many of their kin to plague and starvation. After some time, the chosen leader of the remaining members, Aodan, decided to swallow their pride and seek a Plague clan to merge with, to save what little they had left.

Upon discovering the ragged clan, the Shadestalkers took pity upon them and sheltered them in the dark, plague-ridden crystal caves that separate the Starfall Isles and Scarred Wasteland. Allira, the leader of the Shadestalkers, has since kept careful watch over her mismatched clan, despite not always getting along with Aodan.
