She thought back to when she first left her home clan, when she traveled in the night by her brother’s side. Neither of them were ready, but both of them knew that they had to leave. They both felt it - the incessant tug that was pulling them away. It was frightening, especially for two young Imperials that had never experienced the outside world before. But they were together, and nothing could pull them apart. Constell knew that as long as she had Galexus, everything was going to be fine. She remembered how she looked at her brother when they first left, and how she tried to memorize each bee and wasp-like segment on his body. The opal shining on his wings and face reflected the stars as she stared at him with wide eyes.
“We won’t have to leave each other when we get there, will we?”
He turned to look at her, his green eyes softening with emotion as he stared at her near identical form. “No. Nothing will be able to pull us apart.”
So far Galexus wasn’t wrong. The two siblings stopped in a clan near the base of The Observatory, deep in Arcane territory. The pull that led them there finally grew quiet, and the Imperials only spared a glance before calling the clan their new home. Neither of them knew what they would find here, but whatever it was, they would work hard to find it. Each of them took to different tasks to help out the clan. Galexus, being his usual introverted self, took to taking notes of every dragon in the clan. He watched it all from the shadows and learned from everything he could, mostly for the goal of pointing out potential troublemakers to the clan leaders. Meanwhile, Constell scavenged for the clan. She was happy to do the menial work, especially since it let her explore the area to try to find the source of her pull, but she was also good at it. Her infinite patience helped her stay out for long hours to find the best things, and she always had a knack for knowing where things would be.
However, when the sun fell below the horizon, Galexus and Constell laid down their duties and gathered under the stars. The pulling always returned at night and they were determined to find why. Each night they felt like they came closer to the source, but they always had to turn away to return to the clan before dawn came. One night they decided that they would follow it, no matter when the sun may come up. They eventually found themselves on a grassy hill, starlight shining bright enough to easily illuminate the both of them. Slowly, as they came to the top, Constell felt her tug pull her upward. She glanced at her brother, then at the stars. They felt closer than ever.
She felt a burst of jubilation. The source of the pull couldn’t be too far! She drew back and launched herself into the air, her massive wings spreading out. All she had to do was fly high enough! With just a few beats of her powerful wings, she was already soaring up towards the stars. She faintly heard her brother calling for her and the familiar whoosh of similar wings, but she paid it no mind. She could think of only one thing: her pull. She flew higher than any dragon should but any worried thoughts she might have were drowned out by a rush of exhilaration. She climbed higher and higher into the sky until her wings could barely move. She finally stopped there and looked around in wonder at the stars that seemed close enough to touch. She glanced at Galexus, who only just reached her height. He was panting and tired, which she found slightly odd. Despite the numbness in her wings, she was still full of energy. What-
Suddenly, a bolt of energy coursed through her. She gasped and writhed as white-hot pain bloomed everywhere inside her. Then all was still. She heard a terrified shout from somewhere, but it echoed in her head until she heard nothing. She thought she saw shadows of limp wings stretching out in front of her and of a form racing to meet her, but it soon faded. She was left floating in a void of nothingness, yet as she turned to look around, she knew she was not alone. Slowly but surely, a small white star came drifting towards her. She reached out to touch it and visions exploded in her head. She reeled back, startled, and came into contact with another star. Each time she flinched away from one star and its visions, another floated into her, until all she could see and hear were disjointed places and people.

“Three dragons snuck into the clan of Eirdwa in the dead of night.”
“She couldn’t be weak in front of the others, not in this strange world of dragons that had taken and molded her body into something else.”
“He tore his head open where his mouth would be and a terrified shriek that wasn’t his echoed through the forest.”
“Dull and lifeless eyes stared back at her, the same color as the dirt and dust all around her.”
“The power of the Gladekeeper was still there inside her, but now there was something else just as powerful.”
“He had the brief thought that this might be a curse, but the depths of his mind screamed at him until he went under again.”
“Everyone in the territories that bordered the shadow and nature flights could smell it too; the vile stench of blood and brine and rot.”
“The shadows stood up and bared their million teeth at the killer.”
“He plunged into the shadows of the forest, only the light of his shining stars betraying where he was. The voidling had a mission.”

Constell couldn’t handle all the words the flooded her senses. She screamed, praying to any deity that would listen to take her from this place. Her eyes shot open and she saw Galexus cradling her, the light of dawn slowly spreading from the horizon behind him. His eyes were wide with concern and his voice shook when he tried to ask her if she was okay. She didn’t respond. She stared back at her brother with a star reflected in each eye, her mind clearer than it ever was. The jumbled and spinning visions finally slowed to a stop in her head and aligned to form a path. She slowly stood up and regarded Galexus, who was still worried. Her legs shook even as her words came clearly.
“We need to find a Guardian by the name of Voidling, and we need to find a clan called Eirdwa.”
It was later when she realized that the stars stayed with her.

I audibly gasped as I saw her. The cloak looks fantastic on her. She will look even more gorgeous once you get starmap for her.
