Travel Journal

Entry 1 - Beginning of the journey

Location: Clan Àidhear - Wind

I might be young, but I'm able to look after myself very well, thank you. Since the day I hatched I wanted to see the world. Everyone told me I was still too small, that it would take time to grow my wings. I understood that, but then again I've always been a quite stubborn little hatchling.

The moment I was able to keep myself up in the air for more then half a day, I gathered my belongings, wrote my parents a goodbye-letter with the little words I knew and sneaked after a couple of traveler dragons that were just leaving the clan's Inn. I followed them for some days until reaching a Crossroads Posts. From there, I started my own journey.

The winds of the Plateau are a lot stronger than I anticipated. It can be easy to get swept away by them, and that's exactly what happened. Caught in a chilly crosswind from the Southern Icefield, I blew into the Starfall Isles, my journey only ending as I slammed into a boulder. I don't know how long I was there, but I woke up in a little hut made of leaves, being cared for by a strange bogsneak who only spoke in gibberish. I don't know what kind of doctor he was, but he had some strange magics. I wasn't sure if I even felt safe, but I stayed with him for a little while, as he seemed lonely. The night before I left he gave me some handmade items as a parting gift.

After leaving the Starfall Isles I found myself in the Southern Icefield, I spotted a little camp and decided to stop by it. As I entered the camp I was greeted kindly, I guess they must be familiar with travelers here. I was lead to a campsite that was set up for travelers by following a...
Peace Dove? No wait looking closer I saw a tiny brown fae flying alongside the Dove. After he led me to the travelers camp he flew off. Before I left I made some friends with some of the other travelers.

Somehow, I ended up wandering back to the Starfall Isles - I'm not sure if it's by coincidence, or if perhaps the glowing petals of the Starwood Strand and the quiet but constant hum of magic in the air subconsciously brought me here again. Fascinated by the lands surrounding me, I decided to stay a little longer this time.

During one of my evening outings in the forest, I encountered an interesting Imp - she almost blended into the Starwood, markings upon her scales shining aglow, and I found myself fascinated by her presence. I made friends with her but not without effort, and not without learning not to underestimate those seemingly less able - her vision may have been hazy, but her mind was as sharp as her claws.

It's time for me to continue my travels, but I think I will remember her for a long time to come.

Entry 5 - Fabro

Location: The Outpost- Fire

I have a desire to visit the east now, and so I turned my sights in that direction. Presently I sojourn in the Fire territory, on a small archipelago inhabited by a mismatched group of dragons. They're nice enough, I suppose, offering me food and shelter and only demanding I do my part of the chores, but the temperatures are too fluctuating for me and everything is so loud.

I set out in the morning. May I reach a pleasant destination!

Entry 6 - RoxySantana

Location: Shadow Fang-Shadow

The winds had carried me north over the dark trees of the Tangled Wood. I had had a long journey and finally decided to land in a small clearing below me. I descended into the forest, my wing beats scattering small glowing particles and creatures. I wandered into the trees and soon found a large cave system that a clan of dragons had turned into village. The clan was strange, magic permeated the very air most of them. This magic was not like the soft hum of the Starfall Isles, it was sharp with dark tones that gave me a headache. There was something not quite right with this place. At first I was intrigued but over the many days I stayed as a guest I felt more uneasy. Many young dragons came into this lair led by a sliver tongued Tundra. They would stay a night or two then in the morning be led into the woods by an armored skydancer. At nightfall the Skydancer would return alone. I soon found out that the pair of dragons were gathering and training those who would become Shadowbinder's soldiers. It was not a fate I desired, so when I noticed the two looking at me I knew I had worn out my welcome. I returned to the clearing that night and took to the sky once again.

Entry 7 - Frency
Date: 18/09, 2018
Location: Stormcrash Clan-Lightning

I arrived within the Stormcatcher's domain, landing near a little simple clan hidden within a cliff crack. I was immediately greeted by a bunch of the locals, offering me gifts and food in exchange for stories. It's as if they never got to leave this place. I was quickly acquainted with an Arcanist loyalist named Seliavi who I spent quite a bit of time with! She showed me some fancy books, it was fun.

Finally I had to take my leave, though. I said my farewells to all the kind souls I met, receiving some goodbye-hugs aswell, and then I was off.
