Biography
Justiciar
After a horrible plant accident, Justiciar and his entire team of co-workers were banished from ever working on an electricity farm again. That was fine with Justiciar. That life was never for him, anyway. The long hours prevented him from seeing his beloved mate, Snowshine. The low pay kept them from building the huge family they desired. The tight constraints of the building left Justiciar restless and frustrated. So, now banished, Justiciar and Snowshine went off in search of a new home.
That was when they met Screechfang and Skytail. A couple just as loving as them, if not more so, with the same desire for a big family. Justiciar and Snowshine agreed to settle down in Electrician’s Edge and join the newly founded clan. Screechfang appointed Justiciar as a warrior, and Justiciar became one of the closest friends and advisors of the clan leader.
And Justiciar and Snowshine were happy, for a time. They had their many hatchlings, many of whom went off to serve the deities. The ones who stayed built happy lives for themselves among the Clan. But this happiness could not last forever.
Cadfael presented his plans to his father in grand detail. The violent revolution, the end of an era, the birth of a reign where the most intelligent and advanced would rule, the robotization of anyone unwilling to comply. He turned to his father and beamed, awaiting his approval. But Justiciar did not approve. He was horrified. Horrified that he had raised his son in a way that turned him into this. Horrified that Cadfael conspired to kill his father’s best friend. Horrified that Cadfael could even think of such a thing.
There was a massive argument. The two parted ways. Cadfael vowed to never speak to his father again.
The weight of this fight, and the weight of how Justiciar failed his son, weigh heavily on Justiciar’s shoulders. But there’s something that weighs even more heavily.
Screechfang is not oblivious to Cadfael’s plans. Cadfael is allowed to stay, uninterrupted, because Justiciar requested as much.
