A tragic disaster has happened to the Black Shamrock Clan. Within the depths of their decorated cave, well into the late hours of the night, Dragons were woken up to the ground beneath their claws shaking. Younger dragons within the Clan would not understand the phenomenal, they had never experienced the Earth move under their feet.

As Dragons, small and large, began to panic, two Dragons quickly sling themselves around the corner to the corridor, talons scraping against stone. A sleek and beautiful Spiral female, known by the name of Macaroon. The leader of the Clan, her bright green eyes wide with terror as her gaze quickly looked around at the walls of the cave, noticing the large cracks and chipping stone. “Hypnotic! Get everyone out of the cave!” She looked to her companion, a large white and green scaled Imperial male, her Commander of Defenders. The male dragon didn’t bother to question her judgement, they both knew what this was. An Earthquake.

Macaroon was weaving between her Dragons, trying to keep the calm and yet help those to quicken their pace, her claws trembling at the feel of the stone shaking and creaking as hot steam was beginning to push its way up from the cracks in the floor. The cave was nestled safely near a Volcano, as most of the Dragons within this Clan were Fire Elementals, not all but most. Having such a tremble in the Earth was unsettling the lava river that ran under this cave. The Spirals’ heart fluttered as she hurried into the nursery wing, nests dotting the dark grey floor, dark grey and red splotched eggs were nestled within the small pools of lava, to help speed up the hatching process. However, their were nests among the side of the wall made for eggs that were not of the Fire Element.

Clan Nursers were rushing around, helping mothers and fathers to gather their hatchlings and the fragile eggs. The Earthquake had increased its tremble, the roar of boulders breaking off the outside of the cave and rolling down its sides were deafening. The vibrations from the rolling boulders had caused a domino effect within the cave, pieces of their columns and intricate etchings of their lives were beginning to break and fall to the ground below. Most of the Dragons and eggs had made it safely from the nursery wing, however some hatchlings and eggs were not so lucky. Loosing their lives swiftly as the boulders and pieces of the cave wall crushed them to their nests. Macaroon felt her chest tighten with despair as she hurried to help Moria, a Coatl Female, carry her two fragile eggs out of the broken nursery.

The cave was falling apart, Dragons getting trapped and fighting to push the large boulders out of their way, slipping through the fine cracks from the landslide within the walls. Hatchlings were killed from the falling rocks, Dragons injured from the rocks falling on them. Mates frantic for one another as they lost sight of their significant other, racing to the front of the cave in order to reach safety.

Almost there... Almost there. Macaroon told herself silently, panting through her mouth as she carried one of Morias’ eggs, the weight of the unborn infant weighing heavily on her mind. Slowing her pace as she helped Dragons out of the cave, the egg nestled under a claw. Pushing the weight of other Dragons out of the entrance as Hypnotic helped drag the others, through their shock and terror, to the outer rim of the cave walls, taking them further and further to safety. The Earthquake was loosing its temper, but the damage had been done to the cave, the walls were trembling with the weight of holding up heavy stone. Soon it would collapse, erasing any hope of survival for trapped individuals.

Cersei, a Nocturne Female, was heavy with eggs, her stomach round and swollen as she tried to hobble quickly towards the entrance and exit of the cave, her left wing damaged from the rock fall. Macaroon passed Morias’ egg off to Kilgore, a Skydancer Male. “Get the egg and Cersei out of here!” She ordered with a Snarl, the sound getting the young male moving as his larger stature gave him the advantage to pick up the smaller female dragon, placing her along his broad shoulders as he hurried out of the cave, his eyes glazed over with shock.

Macaroon watched the two Dragons leave the cave, glancing behind her as she called out into the cave, trying to make sure no living dragon was left behind. It took no more than three minutes for her to decide that everyone they could have saved was already out of the cave. With a broken heart she began to make her way towards the entrance of the cave, her body weaving effortlessly. Her ear cavities caught the sound of a loud sound, almost like thunder as the walls of the cave gave away. Stones and boulders falling inwardly as the cave collapsed, taking in her last breathe as she gazed out of the cave to see her second in command reaching for her.

Hypnotic stared in shock as the cave collapsed with his leader inside, hollow shock taking him over for a moment before he turned his head to gaze at the number of dragons before him. They had lost a few Unnamed dragons, dragons willing to leave the Clan to keep the Peace within other Clans. However, they had just lost a very important Dragon to everyone.

Now homeless and leaderless, the dragons of the Black Shamrock Clan are now roaming the lands of the Fire Elementals, searching for a new cave to rebuild their legacy.
