Close to the Rotrock Rim, on the edge of the Abiding Boneyard, resides a small Plague dragon Clan. They are called the Dragons of the Pit or The Kalmos (kalmo means "corpse" in Finnish). The lair, called the Pit, is a crater that has sunken to the lower levels of the Boneyard.

There are usually dragons guarding the lair, hiding in their natural environment. They don’t attack if there’s no obvious threat in sight – so if you’re just a lost wanderer, you might be greeted and questioned for your purpose of being on the area. In some cases, you might be invited inside the lair itself, to greet the Clan.

These Plaguelings are surprisingly hospitable. If you return the polite behavior, you might even leave with something valuable – were it to be knowledge or material. But remember this - disrespect the Clan, and you might not leave at all. And even if you manage to get out alive, be careful not to wander near the Pit anymore. The Leader of this clan never forgets a face.

The lair is a located in a crater, that’s formed below the ground level. It used to be a volcano, but the inside of it sunk into the ground, leaving it almost flat. As time went by, a large crater was formed in the center of it. It’s not massively deep or big, but big enough for it to hold many lairs on the skirt-side and on the inside, just as well some shared areas.

As said, the crater is called The Pit. The walls of the crater are very steep, and since the Pit just drops down to the ground in the middle of the wilderness, it is hard to see from afar. Some blind creatures tend to drop down to the bottom, since they can't see the sudden cliffside.

There are many large boulders and tower-like formations on the outer rim of the crater, as if forming the borders of the lair. Spiky, diseased-looking vegetation also surrounds the crater, and the closer you get to the edge of the Pit, the more carefully you need to navigate through all the sharp rocks, spiky shrubs, roots and bones. The path isn’t obvious to the eye, and it sure is treacherous if you don’t know where to step.

The rocks and sand around the Pit are mostly very dark, similar to ash.

On the bottom of the crater there are big wooden spires with deceased familiars' skulls hanging on them. The lair is decorated with giant ribcases of different creatures, almost like some sort of whales. There are also ripped cloths all around, waving in the wind. There are bones and other trinkets hung from leather strings, which are tied from bones and dried up trees to another. Sometimes you can hear eerie chimes and rattling in the wind.

The nests and dens are scattered across the crater. Some are carved in the steep walls, some are built from rocks and scavenged materials. Some even locate on the topside, in the caves that are formed by the large boulders circling the Pit itself. These nests are mostly for the dragons who are not that devoted to the clan, or mostly just co-operate with it.

• Most of the clan members’ names are in Finnish. The name that these dragons are called by, the Kalmos, is plural form of the Finnish word “kalmo” which means “corpse”.
• Not all the dragons here belong to the clan! Some are just groups or individuals who work closely with the clan, and also reside close to each other.
• The main dragons of the lair have information on them. I'm also working on making art of them and the lair itself.
• Not all the relations are canon in this lore,
  since before establishing it I sort of bred everyone together.
