THE DEFIANCE - A Clan Of Wanderers

(Keep in mind that since we are a wandering clan, our current flight may not be the flight we associate ourselves with. At the moment, we reside in Wind, but our lifestyle and aesthetic is that of Lightning.) Ah, hello there traveller. Seems we’ve crossed paths in this lonesome desert. Now, there doesn’t seem to be many other dragons around, so why don’t you stay with us?
Oh- an introduction! Of course. Well, we are The Defiance. We are a small post-apocalyptic society of dragons who travel abandoned cities and deserts. We compose our outfits of found objects, and most clothes we wear are dirty and torn. As you may have noticed, our clan is very small in number. This is intentional, though! We prefer to keep our numbers moderate, since it allows for easier escape when we fall into trouble. We do not have a permanent home, and we are frequently on the move. We stay in abandoned buildings when we can, but will sleep out in the open when we find ourselves in the desert for the night. We are sorted into “ranks,” but they’re mostly superficial. They really only serve to keep order in The Defiance. We tend to be quiet and closed off, and most dragons who wear masks do not talk at all. Though some of us are mute, we have an inseparable bond. After all, we wander through lands of danger and mostly scavenge for what we need to survive. Dragons who escape death together stay together, right? Besides, the lands we wander are otherwise deserted save for us.
So, wanderer, what do you say? Care to stay awhile? We have some extra rags and a gas mask so you’ll feel more comfortable with us. And if not, you can take your chances with the endless sand dunes and rotting buildings..

THE DEFIANCE - Ranking System

Scavenger; Frequently goes out to gather materials. They are the ones that complete the clan’s daily gathering, and they also collect found objects and scraps to make clothes and supplies for other clan members.
Civilian Group; A corps of dragons who are responsible for interacting with other clans. These dragons are the most extroverted and friendly dragons of the bunch, making them good for first impressions on unfamiliar dragons and creatures.
Field Group; Make maps of the areas the clan has traveled through. They map out everything, and are the dragons who guide the clan to new places. They frequently carry papers, pens, and compasses.
Fighters; Specialize in combat. They protect the clan when in trouble, and dragons that are assigned this role are typically large and strong. Fighters can also be in the Field, Civilian, or Scavenger groups since there is obviously not a constant need for combat.
Team Leader: Plans missions, leads the clan, and keeps order. This dragon was the one to initially create the clan.
Medic: Skilled in medicine and function as the clan’s Nurses and EMTs
Commo: Makes sure the radio works and taps into nearby radio channels.
Engineer/Specialist: Mostly a dragon who will know if buildings are safe to enter, how to turn off gas mains, how to turn on water lines, that sort of thing. These dragons are also good at repairing things like planes, cars, and are all-around skilled when it comes to electricity.
Assistant Team Leader: This can overlap with one of the other groups in the clan, but preferably not. The ATL’s job is to take care of the team. They make sure no dragons have fallen out and that the clan is together. They will take over in the event of the clan being separated
Quartermasters: Store, organize, and inventory stuff in the clan’s hoard
