When Ilaria joined the clan, it was like the sun started shining brighter down on them. She earns her keep during the days working in a cleverly contrived greenhouse of Cara’s creation. She doesn’t particularly love growing things, although she’s adept enough at their keeping. Her true love is dance, and she quickly befriended the clan’s musicians to bring some brightness to their evenings.

The whole clan loves to watch Ilaria dance, but none more than Dior. The first time he saw her he was momentarily shocked; the heavy weight of the clan’s future dropped off his shoulders like falling stones as he watched her twirl gracefully, and for a moment he felt full of light. She was too polite to comment on his staring, and instead smiled at him. He stammered something- a greeting?, she giggled, and from that moment on he was smitten. Ilaria thought to herself that it was a shame he didn’t dance, and smiled internally thinking she might teach him.

When she began to find herself often in the company of a handsome young knight, she was the first to mention to Dior that she thought brave Caradoc would fit well with them. Dior was initially a little surprised, but found that his feelings mirrored hers; Dior and Caradoc's relationship was built on a strong foundation of mutual respect, and love wasn't long behind. The three were joined in a very special bond ceremony, officiated by Persephone. Pair bondings were more common, but trios weren't unheard of and the clan was elated that such beloved members of the clan were so happy with each other.
