What am I doing?
Well, since you asked, dear reader, I'm enjoying Cal Newport's book Digital Minimalism and the 30 day Digital Declutter. The introduction of the achievement system and pursuits on Flight Rising has impaired my ability to regulate a healthy relationship with this game.

These features are well designed. I find them irresistible! So I'm going cold turkey while I devise a strategy to relate to them better. As you can imagine, this is going to be challenging with the November event and corresponding strange chest achievements. I'll have to leave those for 2024.

You have such a neat breeding project! Lineage tracking is something I really want to try, but I don't have the space for it right now. Mini projects for now, I guess.

After reading your profile note, I immediately checked out the book you mentioned from my local library. I *love* the achievement system, but it's also definitely a huge problem for me. I'm trying to make plans for next year and keep having to tell myself that no, forcing myself to level and exalt 22 dragons per day for an entire year (on top of other stuff) is not at all reasonable. I haven't gotten very far in the book yet, but so far it seems to be dead on the money. Anyway, best of luck with the declutter challenge! Also, I really love seeing all of your book recommendations, in general!
