There is something not quite right about this place...
Machines whir, filling the air with the sounds of buzzing flies encircling a corpse lost in the desert. Stripped wires bristling with charge lie in wait like serpents prepared to strike. The very walls of the canyon bustle with activity, dragons darting between earthen facades pressed into stark cliff faces. A model lightning town, just as any other.
And yet some imperceptible feature nags at the back of the mind, begging to be noticed. The incessant hum of electricity as it arcs between towers and whizzes along its coppery pathways between machines, however, seems to strike out any form of focus or thoughts pertaining to the odd aspect. The more one tries to concentrate on it, to pick out what it is that could be amiss, the more the mind turns to static. All that is left behind is the picture of a model lightning town, just like any other.
