Those who find themselves bound under multiple layers of fine lace and spools as models for her clothing will attest that she is nothing but kind and well-spoken, with an air of aristocratic authority about her that makes one feel as if they're going to be fed teacakes and play croquet. Others who have managed to get off on the wrong claw with her - most often by tracking mud into her boutique - have seen the flaming hellion that lurks beneath her scales, angry and ready to deliver a sharp blow to her fellow dergs' self confidences with her words. Early Years
╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯Born to a fairly wealthy family within the heart of the Tempest Spire, Ladymantle knew nothing but comfort throughout her earliest days - as comfortable as one can reasonably be beneath the rule of the Stormcatcher, of course. Her claws saw their fair share of hair work, her talent for sewing and textiles being noticed soon after her hatching, but they never yearned for much beyond another spool of thread or more pearl buttons to fondle - until she wandered past the Spire. Her parents thought little of these trips, during which she would battle the harsh pressures of the thunder and electromagnetic grids surrounding the Spire alike to visit surrounding areas in search of new materials for her projects. They would begin to give them more critical thought to them when their daughter one day never returned from one, leaving a note behind explaining that the outside world had so much to inspire her artistry with that the Spire never could give her. And thus, she travels from flight to flight, with temporary boutiques containing her clothing traveling alongside with her - as well as a pack of well-trained beasts that carry her supplies. Ladymantle shows no signs of slowing down her world travels, and probably won't be content until she has visited the bulk of every flight - save for maybe some of the more, how do you say, less sophisticated ones. There are some basic amenities a lady such as herself should not be expected to forgo, in her opinion, and access to water, indoor plumbing, and decent foods make that list. She has considered settling down should she find a proper mate, but would much rather prefer a long distance relationship (or two, or three), if any at all. Being expected to settle down to nest and brood seems like an unfair and uninteresting deal to her.

Strengths and Weaknesses

If this be error and upon me proved, I never writ, nor no man ever loved. - Shakespeare Ladymantle would not be described as a romantic by many, but the passion she puts into her work is second to none. She is a firm believer that anything worth doing is to be worked hard for - never given. Yet this is wholly ironic, given her privileged upbringing was what allowed her the opportunity to work solely towards her goals to begin with - which more skeptical dergs can't help noticing, especially with her strong inclination for high fashion and luxurious expenses. Still, she is not blind to the world's pain, and in secret, give small bits of charity - warmer clothes for abandoned hatchlings in the Icewarden's land here, blankets to the homeless dergs gathered in Mavenclaw there. For all of her unwillingness to settle with a mate, one can't say there's no love in Ladymantle's heart. ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯
