”Got to bring myself back from the dead!”

The biggest pest out of everyone in The Phoenix Allegiance, he’s cruel, rude, intimidating and unreliable to say the absolute least. However it isn’t too unbelievable for someone to call him kind in his own way, though the only one who would ever say this with complete sincerity is his brother Zander. Abodden found the imperial he would come to know as his brother when they were both young and lost to their families, whimpering while curled up in the biggest hole he could find and fit into. Abodden found this sight to be incredibly pathetic, but surprisingly the young wildclaw felt just a little bit sorry for his fellow orphan hatchling, enough to sigh and offer his help to the poor thing. Zander was incredibly grateful to Abodden and may as well owe him his life, but that didn’t mean that he made life easy. While the two were on their own for quite some time, eventually while wandering they were found by members of Ridley’s clan who just couldn’t let two hatchlings keep going on their own and trust that they would be safe. But Abodden continued to make life difficult for everyone; especially the hatchling caretakers as he got into fights too rough for the younger children to handle, and would bite the dragons that tried to look after him. But he was always a protective figure (and a show off) to the imperial he rescued, and called him his brother while protecting him from the other hatchlings trying to bully him. It stuck, but the moment Abodden seemed like he could handle himself just fine in the world the caretakers kicked him out without remorse. He figured he didn’t need them anyway and his only regret was that he was leaving Zander behind, his poor weaker brother who he was admittedly worried about but he’d trust the others to look after him. After leaving however he got too arrogant with the local Beastclans and when he attacked they murdered him, or so they thought they had anyway. In truth where Abodden should’ve died he somehow came back again, with the added ‘benefits’ of being ridiculously powerful, seeing the souls of every living creature, and having an appetite for each and every one. He has no idea how long he had been ‘dead’ for however, but once he was seemingly living again he was found by his little brother; now plenty bigger than him and apparently very tired after searching far and wide for his older brother. Abodden was grateful to see him but as if he would ever tell him that to his face, but at least Zander hadn’t expected anything different. Abodden was lucky that Ridley allowed him to return to the clan, he was under stricter rules however that he would be forced to follow or he might face exile for good if he upsets everyone. Zevran brought him into the guard, but even with strict instructions to follow he still takes off on his own at times for reasons no one completely understands. He can’t explain it either but he feels a draw to souls that are no longer needed, and their taste is almost preferable to anything else he’s ever had. But this is a secret best kept to himself, Abodden doesn’t dare to think of how Zander would react to learn of what has become of his dear elder brother. Lore by AbyssalKing |
