Biography

B I O G R A P H Y
Neptune was born a prodigy. His magic ability far exceeded that of his parents. His powers were second to none - except for his beloved sister, Impish. He loved her with all of his heart, but he spent his life living in her shadow. She was truly the strongest mage the Clan had ever seen - stronger, faster, and smarter than their parents, siblings, and clanmates. And though he was close behind her, Neotune simply wasn't satisfied with being the second best. He had to be the best, and he was going to do whatever it took to get there. "Whatever it took" didn't lie in the Foxfire Bramble. It resided somewhere else entirely, and Neptune was going to find it. He flew away from the Tangled Wood, barely knowing where he was going himself. Finally, after days of flying, his journey brought him to the Viridian Labyrinth. He found himself meandering through the Gladeveins, as if that would help him find what he was seeking. |

Believe it or not, his aimless wandering was exactly what led him to his answer. If the Spiral hadn't been strolling around the way he had been, he would never have ran into Scion. And if he hadn't ran into Scion, who would have ended up training him? After Neptune's encounter with Scion, he practically begged the Wildclaw to train him. And Scion, being the pushover that he was (and still is), obliged. The Wildclaw mage taught Neptune everything he knew and more, and even gifted the Spiral with an Insubstantial Illusionist to keep him company. Soon enough, Neptune had learned every Shadow spell there was to learn and he had mastered them all perfectly, something even Impish couldn't dream of doing. |

But all power comes at a cost, and Neptune's was no exception. When he returned to his clan, his satisfaction at finally being more powerful than Impish, more powerful than everyone got to his head. As time progressed, Neptune had become nothing short of a monster. Neptune's clanmates had no choice but to exile him. And then he was alone again, flying to a destination he didn't know. He found himself in the Southern Icefield, where Scion had gone after teaching Neptune. In Neptune's new clan, he was surrounded by trained warriors and necromancers as powerful as him. They forced the Spiral to see that he was no longer the strongest, and when he finally accepted the truth, Neptune was ultimately set free. |
