His father Sanguinox came from the Caedis tribe, a clan of bogsneaks so renowned for their brutality that even the simple mention of their name sends shivers down the spines of any honorable dragon. Despite being banished from the tribe, Sanguinox seeks to honour their traditions. Every child he has is marked from birth, runescars carved into their flesh to forever brand them as a member of the tribe he yearns to return to. He then sends them into the world, hoping they will make their mark in the way that he has trained them.
Kala is a patient and calculating dragon. He never makes rash decisions, and when he fights every move is deliberate and planned. He has uncanny luck, though that could be attributed to his rare gift of future sight, which his parents suspect comes from his unusual faceted eyes. He spends most of his days brooding alone, divining the future and observing the hundreds of different outcomes that accompany each action. He dislikes idle conversation, but does enjoy sharing what he has seen when he's in the mood to do so.
