______ She was often called the lily of the valley. Despair itself didn’t dare touch a hair on her mane. Coriander was also so kind, so warm, and so welcoming. It was a sure challenge to find a dragon who disliked her. If Coriander had the chance, she’d give her life for those she loved without hesitation, and would sacrifice treasures upon treasures to make them happy. The local botanist, always willing to aid others, always offering her hospitality to strangers, and always seem with a smile on her face. While she was kind, she was just as skilled. Coriander’s flowers bloomed larger and brighter than any regular flora - their fragrance indescribable and their beauty intoxicating. Though Coriander never revealed her gardening secrets, many others speculated the gorgeous plants rubbed off of her kindness; to which Coriander would only offer a mysterious smile and a lighthearted laugh.

______ “So, Miss Coriander, are these the newly-grown?” A tall green Skydancer mused, his eyes briefly falling upon a few young new tulips, their little flowerheads still closed, unexposed to the fresh light of the new spring. Coriander giggled lightly, her graceful figure appearing from behind the counter, a watering can in her claws. “They sure are, Mister Khonsu. Aren’t they just beautiful?” Coriander sighed wistfully, the light sounds of sprinkling of water filling the shop as she began to nurture a pair of daisies. “A sure sight it’ll be once they bloom, miss.” The Skydancer named Khonsu murmured lightly, contemplating which to take home and grow for himself. “Once they bloom?” A light chuckle. “My, you’re sorely mistaken. They can bloom whenever they want. Or rather - wheneverI want. Just the right conditions; a little sunlight,” She moved the potted tulips near a window. “A bit of water,” The watering can gently sprinkled the tulips. “And a good bit of love.” Her talons gently brushed the surface of the tulips, and to Khonsu's amazement, the little buds began to bloom. It felt surreal, as they gently opened up to greet the sunlight, gorgeous petals unravelling to reveal a far prettier sight. A shocked Skydancer was met with another mysterious smile. “Minds are like flowers, my dear. They only open when the time is right.”
