it helps to keep them actually, especially until you know which you need to keep and which you can sell in AH. you can brew at baldwins, trade at swipps stand and also unlock slots in your hibernation den with items. there are guides for them all :)
Breeding dragons, collecting familiars. You can also put apparel on your dragons except the ancients (Gaolers).. there also skins/accents which can be covering the whole dragon or just some. On the 28th will be the lightning festival. Not sure about chat.
Take your time, explore. Make sure to do your gathering everyday so you can feed your dragons. Digging and scavenging are for items. You can make 75k a day in the fairgrounds. Glimmer and Gloom is fastest.. there is a guide for it. Guides for everything.
Any help you need, let me know but I find it best to just explore it all. Also there is a section in forums just for guides and you can learn things from the Encyclopedia. If you need help ask here or sub.
