In the depths of the Shifting Expanse a single trapdoor hewn from sandstone lies almost buried among the endless dunes. Those who manage to lift its immense weight are greeted by a burst of cool air that smells of burning sage and mineral water, the distant sound of voices audible- dozens of them in every tone and dialect. Down an almost endless spiral staircase chiseled from the rock brings you to an altar to the Stormcatcher, lined with blue-flame candles and sprockets, with handfuls of clockwork gears strewn along the gemstones and incense. A small fae watches you from the entrance to the main lairs, a frail little thing with hollow sapphire eyes.

"W-Welcome." Her monotone voice stumbles, her crests expressing messages unknown. Something about her conveys a sense of long suffering- of beaten humility from some great tragedy. Perhaps she notices your study, because she flutters toward you, holding out a seeker orb stitched carefully unto a small piece of silk- the offering of camaraderie among these dragons.
