|
The Lord of Autumn is a practical and straightforward ruler, glad of the bounty his Court boasts but wary of it being squandered or misused. His long hair reflects the deep red of maple leaves in full fall color, as do his eyes. Out of that hair a proud rack of antlers rise, glittering a muted greenish-brown like lichen. His skin is painted with the warm brown of the rich earth the harvests come from, and he dresses simply, ready to lend a hand to any of his fey if need be. He’s often seen with a delicate autumn dryad or two perching on his hand or his shoulder, whispering news and offering their input for him to consider. The fey of his court tend to be affiliated with the shift of seasons or the harvest - nuts and apples and gourds, fallen leaves and the first frost. Though they do not match the high-spirited energy of the Spring or Summer Courts, they are a solid and hardworking group, with firm senses of honor and fairness. They have little patience for idleness or play until the work day is done. Once it is, though, they retire to Urozh’s throne, though an outsider would likely not recognize it as such. A thick log before a bonfire, it only differs from the others that ring the flames by being exceptionally large, its bark smooth from many long nights spent sitting by the fire. He holds his Court there once night has fallen, he and his fey preparing rich and hearty meals from the food they’ve harvested throughout the day. Holding hands, they dance around the fire, singing long-memorized songs to keep the time. |
