Caleb's childhood was pretty uneventful, as the clan he grew up in, Auminthina, was so deep down within the darkest recesses of the Viridian Labyrinth's Shrieking Wilds that any singly drop of sun light was blocked by the ever growing, thick canopy, leaving his home in total darkness, aside from a few small glowing mushrooms. The most memorable moment from his childhood was when he fell in the river, not that he was conscious for most of it. Caleb almost drowned in the small river near Auminthina's underground city. While he, his brothers, and father were out fishing, Sabro dared him to lean down and grab the yabby picking at some rocks. Since Caleb didn't want to be teased and called Chicken for the next sixteen years, he did so. But sly old Sabro took the opportunity to jepardise Caleb's life, by kicking him into the grimy sludge lining the river shores. It when as well as you'd expect, a hatchling half his size only tipped his balance and landed straight in the trashing river. This river is constantly disrupted by thick tree roots hoping for a sip of water, which means poor Caleb was bumped and tossed across stone hard tree roots, braking many of his bones. Caleb fell unconscious from the shock, being carried away from his family to a doomed fate unknown, or at least he would've. Conveniently, Troicada had some common sense and had ran downstream to find help for his dying brother. He caught Wavewatcher while he was cleaning out a special filter downstream, so he picked out a fallen branch just long enough to reach him. Caleb later awoke to the clan healer, Pinky, mending his powderised bones. Notes
