Typhoid is no stranger to the importance of survival. From the day he hatched he had always been struggling for just that, survival. Typhoid was born into a rather small lair that was settled on the Rotrock Rim; but even on his hatching day the Scarred Wasteland was not forgiving. A horrible dust storm had swept over the land as the small dragon popped his head out of his slimy egg and within seconds the dragon was lifted up and dragged like a ragdoll by the relentless gusts. The wind pulled him down the Rotrock Rim and dropped him almost halfway to the Wyrmwound.

Typhoid was helpless to put it simply, hunkered in on himself for hours as he waited for the storm to pass. When the desolate sun tore through the dust one would assume the young dragon was relieved, but it only brought another problem with it: Vultures. To vultures a vulnerable hatchling was easy pickings and would provide them with enough meat to last them a week; and in the Scarred Wasteland it is survival of the fittest. Typhoid ran as fast as his clumsy legs could carry him but he was surely no match for the wings of a skilled predator. The giant bird landed on Typhoids tiny body but Typhoid was not going down without a fight, he bit and clawed at the vulture in an adrenaline crazed push for survival. He had not even noticed the towering figures that approached from behind.

Typhoid did not come out of that fight unharmed by any means, but he was not dead; the same couldn't be said for the vulture. But as he turned to flee the scene he was met by the empty eye sockets of a large Imperial, bandages covered her hide from snout to tail and many blinking eyes decorated her neck along with rotted teeth. The imperial just grinned with excitement before turning to the large mutated Wildclaw that trailed behind her.
"What a interesting little hatchling don't you agree, Garnet?"

The wildclaw behind her just looked to Typhoid, examining him with his many eyes before returning the females gaze and letting a deep grunt escape his maw.
"I haven't raised a hatchling in many eons. This should be...fun"

Typhoid grew up under the guidance of the Mad Mother and her mate and became a fierce dragon in his adulthood. Typhoid usually sticks to himself some even believing he is mute but he is rarely seen speaking quietly to Chordata and his mate Melancholy.
