A wandering swordsman for hire. He came to Fortune's clan in hopes of finding a job. Along the way he met a Wildclaw by the name of Charlie who would soon become his mate. They showed him around and watched as he run down a large amount of trees so he could fish. The path is still there to this day. Him and Charlie slowly fell in love and one day he noticed Charlie was acting weird. Maarku then found out they had 3 eggs. They knitted him a sweater and a pair of gloves in which he kept even after he left with his son and daughter. Charlie still goes to his clan to visit their children and see how Maarku is doing.

Maarku is a very dependable man. he provides most of the food for the residents of the island.
He can be tough on his children sometimes, but he means well. He has frequent nightmares about the war, and sadly developed a slight drinking habit due to it. He misses his mate and son dearly, and was devastated when Calder thought lesser of him due to his absence. he was ecstatic when Charlie told him that Calder started to become the clan fisherman. Coralia took over, and now runs, the small inn he bought when he was younger. Morgan inherited his rune speaker talents, however, Morgan is very indecisive on his duties as a Deep Speaker and his Rune talents.
Two of his children are off on their own now. One day they may try to reconnect with him, but he is suspect that will not be the case for a long time.

origins.

Before becoming a swordsman, and then, a fisherman; he served under the Lotus Regalia, pushing back the invading armies from the south. However, he was sorrowed by the thought that His twin brother served on the opposing front. After the war ended, Maarku swore allegiance to the Tidelord, one of the two deities of his old Regalia. After being welcomed on Tsunami zone island, he went in search of his brother, stumbling on Charlie's clan, and falling for them.
