fun facts

•You can call me Stark or Bal, I don't care. I've heard every Tony Stark joke under the sun, please refrain.
•If I don't name a dragon right away, don't panic.
•I'm +2 hours ahead of FR time but I don't sleep a whole lot so. Message away, if you want.
•No random friend requests.
•If you're interested in doing a RP, message me some plot ideas. I can balance a few, but be warned I might turn you down.
•I love everything Blizzard, dogs, photography, and reading. I can talk about them forever.

about the empire
The tale of the Foskian Empire begins like any other. While most of this prestigious Light empire claim that their beginnings were holy, brought together by the demi-gods of their territory, the older dragons within the community can agree that this was not the case.

One thing they can agree on, however, is how the empire’s once king and queen - the mighty Progenitors named Enas and Dyo - were hatched by the demi-gods themselves. It was these Progenitors that started the original clan deep in the crumbling ruins of the Sundial Terrace. While the Terrace was suitable home for the then-growing clan, as numbers grew it became less suitable. Quickly, Enas and Dyo led the clan west in search of larger lands free from the busy lairs residing in the Terrace.

It was in finding the Mirrorlight Promenade that the demi-gods first made themselves known. In a burst of light, Ambrose stood before them. A Skydancer by appearance, his wings were a crimson red in colour, flecked with orange gemstones that clung to his pelt as if wary of leaving. His coat was a shimmery mixture of grey, steel blue, and a grey-ish green. His eyes: fair yellow. “Alkathban awaits our light,” he said simply, voice a murmur that still demanded to be heard.

And just like that, the clan turned towards the desert village that cupped a bend in the river on the outskirts of the Hewn City. The settlers there had already built a simple lifestyle with Hadi as their guide, but they spoke of dark whisperings within the City. With the demi-gods help, they were able to push back the arching shadows and create a wider pocket of land and light that brushed at the shadows of the damned ruins. Enas and Dyo, too surprised by Ambrose’s mighty abilities at banishing the Shade, could only watch as the demi-god helped their clan settle into their new homes, united with the simply villagers.

Later, when the night was heavier than the Shade that clung to the edges of their southern border, Ambrose approached the two leaders.

“There is a price to pay for the generosity of gods,” he told the two. “I have given you the tools your clan needs to become an empire, but the cost is your service. The Lightweaver requires more dragons to aid him at the Beacon. You will not be allowed to return.”

Enas and Dyo cast somber eyes to one another; this was what they feared, yet they knew that it was the only way. The Hewn City was a dangerous place, but with the demi-gods aid they’d secured a bubble of safety. A promise for something better. What would happen if they lost this favour? It was with heavy hearts that they agreed to this request.

By the time the sun found the sleeping dragons the next morning, Enas and Dyo had gone. Where they’d gone to, no one in the clan knew. They waited, as all good clanmates do, but their wait yielded no results. With heavy hearts, they fully became members of Hadi's clan. As the years wore on, his leadership was passed down through blood, from parent to child, as an empire grew in the broadening pocket of sunlight.

And so it went, for generations.
