[Wavecrest] Flotsam Town Boat Race
condonzack's Clan
I guess I'm not such a newbie anymore
Clan Info
The Beginning:
Gunther, Wind Guardian, founds a clan after finding his charge to be the top of a hill on the steppe. Soon Ulaga, recognizing the safety a Charged Guardian offers, joins him. A local Spiral Mairi decides to be their "mentor" although Gunther thinks moocher might be more appropriate.
Gunther approaches three more dragons, his instinct telling him his burgeoning clan will not be safe until it has outside views to give insight. So the Imperials Frigene and Odeaz come, as well as the nervous Wildclaw Glain.
Trial and friendships:
The clan grew and grew, but Gunther only got more and more paranoid over the stress of heading a clan. This was finally helped by starting correspondence with Asami, a dragon from a Nature Clan. Her letters helped him grow as a leader when the first Night of the Nocturne graced Sornieth. However, he was not truly tested until a great fire nearly killed the whole clan if it was not for Gunther's deft leadership and paranoid bolt tunnels.
After resettling, things were relatively peaceful. A brutish Fire Snapper named Thrudglmir made a challenge against Gunther, but he soundly defeated the powerful warrior. However, as the hubbub of the new Bogsneak breed reached his ears, Gunther decided to learn a bit more about the sort of diseases that might put his clan in danger. He began by speaking with the plaugelaid of his clan, Glain and Pyral.
Well, Glain's response was short and sweet. "It will make you stronger, until it kills you." Pyral, who had come to Gunn in fear for her fine white hide, had a lot to say. Too much to say. Gunther grew paranoid. More then usual. To the point of gruff hysteria. As the Riot of Rot approaches Gunther stomps about his home, dragging belabored Oliver behind him with a satchel of salves and syringes, doing everything he can to protect his dragons.
Gunther's careful leadership brought his clan safety and peace in Reedcleft Acent. However, it also has left the growing clan isolated. He sees the infighting and cliques growing in his community and doesn't know what to do. At least until Centeotl and Oliver bring him a proposition. They say that the clan could be far more profitable- and thus have more resources, if it moved to the busier Millmeadows. More for the sake of keeping his clan connected to the larger world then anyother reason Gunther agrees. However, the chaos of moving clan (and moving his precious tree!) drives Gunther a littttle crazy and he starts to indulge in paranoia about his many new neighbors. He makes a trip to Dragonhome to hire a couple of Obelisks to help keep his clanhold safe. He returns with the baby Zona and the affable Armos.
