Talewinds Clan is a Fae-heavy clan of tricksters and travelers with a particular attachment to stories. It is rare to see more than a handful of dragons staying at the clan's lair at a time, for they delight in journeying the world over. New things to see, new people to converse with, new tricks and mischief to get into, new stories to learn. Be wary in accepting their requests for stories, for they will make every effort to extract every possible detail.

Fae Speech Lore
Feel Free to Use for Your Own Faes!

Faes are known among dragonkind for their monotone speech and utter reliance on body language for communication. This is not the case with many Faes in Talewinds Clan. All the Wind Faes of the Clan have practiced with using a precise form of wind magic around their face to give the illusion of tone and inflection. Sylphine, Harvester, and Westbreeze have the greatest skill at it, sounding completely like other dragon breeds because of it. The skill level varies among other Wind Faes in the clan.

As a Clan of diverse breeds interested in sharing stories with other clans, the Faes of Talewinds Clan also tend to have more exaggerated body language than the norm. It does tone itself down to normal levels if they spend enough time among members of their own clan, although the nomadic tendencies often limits this. When it comes non-Faes outside their clan, Talewinds Faes are very skilled at understanding other dragons despite their lack of crests.

Communicating with Coatls outside or new to the clan is a complicated and exaggerated game of pantomime for most of the Clan Faes as Coatls can't understand their natural monotone. Coatl hatchlings raised by the clan, however, have little difficulty being raised to understand their clan mates.

The members of Talewinds Clan revel in exploration and the opportunity to do so. This is instilled in hatchlings from a young age and wandering off is not infrequent. Lost hatchlings do not concern the clan as a whole.

Running a large clan does take treasure. Goldgleam is responsible for the more tedious tasks of managing the clan's income (a task frequently offset by the gambling tendencies of his mate, Shadowchance). The clan's most steady source of income is from selling young hatchlings to other clans - an idea that may seem cold to some, but is embraced by the clan and approached with delight by the hatchlings in their eagerness to explore the wider world... even if it is just another part of Windsinger's domain.
