~The Beginning~
This is known among the clan as a peaceful time. This was a time when the clan was small, and viewed as a refuge, for neglected and thrown out dragons of any age of breed, by the founder and mother of the clan Vellath. The clan grew and things couldn't be happier when to everyone's horror Vellath's three sons vanished into thin air, never seen or heard from again. This sent the matriarch into deep despair and an even deeper sadness when years later she found one of her sons, alive and well under the servitude of the Shadowbinder. She learned that her sons were forced to leave and pledge fealty to the diety by her own mate Quent. Her wrath grew and she banished the guardian from her clan. After this tragedy Vellath could no longer stay in shadow's domain. After some consulting with her clan they all decided that moving flight would be best.
~ The Golden Age ~
The golden age, counted from the moment the clan took up residence in the plague domain. It was not scenic or beautiful but it was a change they all needed, and agreeably, even decay has it's beauty. The matriarch after the tragedy that has befallen her changed dramatically. It was like she became a new dragon altogether. She went by a new name, the Bone Queen. It took years for her heart to open up to strangers again. They began to recover and grow. Under the venerable rule of the Plaguebringer they all found what in the shadows they could not. Family. Nothing brings dragons closer than harsh survival conditions. Yet there is strenght in numbers. Everything was as happy as can be. Or so they thought. One of their own. A Wildclaw named Pollus was unhappy in his post. He was convinced the matriarch was spoiling the clan. And he was convinced there was only one solution. So he went back to the shadows, and Vellath the Bone Queen saw the darkness coming and she knew she had been betrayed.
