The staff felt this mechanic punished more casual players and, due to the frequent downtime during the early days, many eggs rotted leading to a lot of frustration. We had a LOT of downtime in the first few months!

Hiya, to answer your question in the Q&A thread, in the early days of Flight Rising there was such a thing as "Egg rot". If you didn't incubate your eggs daily, there was a chance they could die. This was removed on Aug 20th 2013.
