If you've come here from a Dragon Share thread; most of my dragons are in my hibernal den!
On the edge of the Abiding Boneyard, nestled amongst and dwarfed by the steep crags that jut upwards into the toxic jungle of the Great Crater’s rim, lie the walls of a fortified encampment. Rows of wooden stakes sit silent in the baking sun in front of its gates, each decorated with a dragon’s war-helm. The bones of smaller creatures, hung up on strings beneath, clatter like ominous, tuneless chimes. Are these grim icons a threat, perhaps? Or a warning? It’s easy to assume either, unless one pays attention to the dried flowers laid out at the base of each wooden pole. Up above, on the parapet, an old warbanner flutters. It is weathered, and defaced, but even hung upside down and dyed red as it has been, the four-sunbeam symbol that graces it is unmistakable.
Welcome, traveler, to Weaver’s Lament, last bastion of a forsaken army. Its doors are open to travelers, but take care; hidden agendas are dangerous baggage to carry inside these walls, and the consequences of some debts linger long after they’ve been paid.
This is a body horror heavy lair!
