the observatory

also known as the cloudscape observatory, our clan is nestled beneath the peak of the cloudscrape crags; watched and protected dutifully by our deity, the solemn icewarden. and yet, our founders and origins can be traced back to arcane and lightning - thus our love of science, machinery, and magic came to be. our dragons take on roles as charters, explorers, alchemists, enchanters, inventors, and other stellar positions. although the rough winds and chilling weather is less than enjoyable, our elevation has brought the observatory closer to the stars than otherwise possible.

the observatory itself is, for the most part, a glorified warehouse. there is a single isolated viewing area available, only holding a few dragons at a time. its space is occupied by telescopes, bookshelves, and brewing stands, as well as misplaced clutter. within the gut is the library, the most impressive room by far, containing varied archived artifacts and resources collected from nearby locations.
at the base of the mountain, a couple of miles off of the observatory, are the barracks and nesting grounds where the residents may take rest. most, however, prefer to catch up on their sleep at the observatory (usually in less desirable positions) as the trek from the observatory to the barracks is not one for the weary.

the terrain and climate of the observatory is unusual and seemingly inhabitable. due to higher elevation, flight is impaired, and travel by foot is marred by dangerous cliff sides and heavy snowfall. the denizens of this clan, therefore, are hardy and stable (or rather, stationary). they've dedicated their lives to the exploration of the beyond, and will continue to archive, collect, and discover for the remainder of their stay.

Oh, I haven't played much lately either. I got super into P101 for a few days and then got burned out on it as well. And then FR opened up and, well, I've been lurking here since the window. o3o But yeah I can get you a TFC anytime!

Same! Omg my first wiz is only lvl 78 and I've been playing since January 2009 (but since I was a bad player I gave up on her) and started Rowan). I finally got my butt in gear once Khrysalis released.
