Welcome to Driftwood Drag. Echo is a kind soul and I'm quite sure he'll lend you some of the food from their glorious hoard.

A cold and harsh wind blew through the cave opening. Battlemist shuttered before feeling her mate wrap his wing over her. It wasn't odd for it to be this cold at night but there was something missing, well more like someone. His name was Malykris. He had left the clan a few nights before to study a few things. He was one of the major heat givers at night. Only a few dragons could feel the difference with the heat, and the rest of them felt it when they went to go talk to him and he wasn't there. This was rough for only a few of them. Danfor, Embersmoke, and Echo. They were the closest to him.

Echo was the leader of the clan, the founder, and the caretaker of everyone. He found everyone and brought them together and that was why it was hardest for him to accept the fact that Malykris left. Even though he had promised a hasty return, it was still hard. Echo never knew when they would have to pack up and leave because of the size of their clan. They kept getting bigger and bigger. Soon they will have to start lowering the numbers because it's getting hard to feed so many dragons.

The chilling wind blew threw Malykris' sandy colored mane. He looked up at the moon with his intense blue eyes as he continued walking. He was looking for a place to stay for the night. He wished he would have taken a few of the other clan mates with him so he wouldn't get robbed when he slept. With each step, his longingness to be with his clan grew. He imagined each one traveling the long, tiring journey with him. The original plan was to meet up with one of the guards and do the few things they needed to do before he was escorted home. The journey back would be shorter, as long as the clan doesn't move before than.

The clan had a tendency to move. Echo was restless and even when he finally would relax, the clan would be too big for their current home. Echo refused to leave without Malykris. Mostly because he's been by his side his whole life. Most dragons in his clan would kill for this place, but very few get it. Once you get it, it's hard to lose it. Echo was a very tight knitted dragon. One that loved everyone as well.

Echo slowly stands up, still wobbling from his tiredness. He walks towards the cave entrance. He sits down quietly and stares at the sky. It was a clear night. Hardly any stars in the sky. This made Echo's already sinking mood sink farther. "Looks like there won't be any shooting stars tonight," his tone is soft and somber. The sound of his voice woke up another clan member, Rikimaru. Rikimaru was a tall, slender skydancer who had a tendency to be comforting. He makes his way next to Echo.

"You never know, Echo. He could always be back by tomorrow evening." His voice was also soft, mostly because of his fear of waking the other clan mates. His tail moved back and forth like a cats. Echo looked down before turning his gaze to Rikimaru. He nods agreeingly even though Rikimaru can tell he's lying. "I'm not kidding, Echo. You know he would never leave us forever." Echo makes a soft noise in response.

"I just want him back now. I miss him, Rikimaru. I mean I miss him a lot. He's been there for me from the beginning. I wasn't expecting him to want to leave without taking another clan mate with him. What if he left with a different motive? I can't live with another backstabbing moment... I know you remember what happened with Fallenshadows. She ruined everything for me, Rikimaru. She almost tore the whole clan apart. I can't handle that again." He was almost crying, the only thing holding him together was the fact that most of the clan was still sleeping and he didn't want to wake them.

Rikimaru sighed. He was no help at this time. "Echo, you know him just as much as we do. if he didn't leave when Fallenshadows ruined things, he wouldn't leave you now." Rikimaru stood up and turned back to the clan. "All of these people didn't leave you then, none of them will leave you now." He then continued to walk back to Shadowkiss.

Echo was still not convinced. There was some dragons that weren't here when Fallen was here. She doesn't even deserve to have her name shortened. "You guys are all I have... And I care way too much for you guys..." He mutters as Riki walks away.
