The history of the Realm is an intense and ferocious one. King Konova established the Line of Kings nearly three thousand years ago to protect civilizations of dragons from berserkers, and these groups became his subjects in the Kingdom of the Realm. As the centuries passed, the monarchy became unstable and finally ended with a revolution over 200 hundred years ago. The Kingdom separated into what we now know as independent capital cities, each run by a newly royal family. The old Realm Capital, Olympia, remains the strongest and largest city with the most powerful and dangerous family behind its walls.

Smaller clans who do not wish to partake in city life travel all over the Realm and answer to no one. The most recent clan to be created is Hyperion, a mix of dragons from all over the Realm. These dragons are social outcasts, soldiers, criminals, witches, orphans, assassins, heirs, scientists, nature lovers, and past prisoners of war, just to name a few. The Queen of this clan is Hera, the exiled daughter of the royal family in Olympia, and she created Hyperion to accept and aid all dragons who need a home, help or friends.

Under Hera’s rule, every dragon has a role in society to make the clan function efficiently. They are an unusual clan and vulnerable to many enemies, so it is imperative that life in Hyperion is harmonious. The clan resides in the center of the Forbidden Wood, a dangerous and dark place that provides as much protection as it does fear. The most important members of Hyperion form the Council, a group of dragons responsible for making the right choices for the clan and its dragons. Every day presents a challenge for Hyperion as Hera’s archnemesis Ouranos grows even more hateful, and the berserkers continue their never-ending war.
