most dragons in this clan are said to have dark life changing events that twisted their futures for good.

you tread carefully over the giant sundial that takes up so much space in the sunbeam ruins. not many know much about it, but some whisper of residing dragons who call the place their home.

you weren't intending to disturb anyone, for you were just there to study the incredible work of architecture, hoping to jot down some notes in hopes that you could build something grand of your own. however, as you walked around the structure, keeping your eyes fixed on the weathered cracks that cut into the base, you hadn't been focusing and accidentally rammed into someone else. "ouch!" a voice exclaimed, and when you looked to your right you saw a rather simply dressed skydancer pick herself up off the ground. she turns a disapproving gaze on you and you apologize profusely before she sighs and waves it off. "there are lots if visitors here anyway, plenty wish to see the sundial."

"well, i didn't mean to bump into you," you say defensively. "i was merely here to observe the surroundings."

"ah. very well. if you insist, i'll leave you in peace to observe further. keep in mind that there are others about." the skydancer shrugs ever so slightly and as quickly as she had appeared, she vanished. the only thing that indicated that she had been there were a few flower petals strewn across the ground.

you bend forward and gather up the petals, intending to find another place to leave them, when you cut yourself on a sharp edge that in no way belonged to a flower. a small slip of paper had found its way into your hands. a bit of script is scrawled across it.

"when you're done, just go down, take a left, and find the gilded doors. that's the librarian's haven. meet me there."

as soon as you finish reading, the paper dissolves in your hands. go down and take a left... well, you'll look into it. surely the librarian's haven couldn't be that harmful to visit?
