A group that has it that is mates separate new mates must be found before an official separation, The Marshtide Clan is more concerned with its own future numbers.

Lately, however, the waters the clan calls home has been acting odd lately, almost threatening the well being of the recent eggs. Though this was investigated, a new egg had been found and hatched among the Clan, a few of dragons came by and helped the clan find a new home in the Icewarden's plane.

Customs:
Mates-
1) Following what happened between Clan Lord Shishi and his first mate ChouChou, any mates who separate must find a new mate very quickly.
2) Though mates can separate, it is expected that during the time any dragon is bonded to another that they will be strictly loyal. Any who don't are either outcasted from the group, or forced to take a low position. The only exception to this rule is the Clan Lord themselves, as they are allowed to have two mates in order to give a greater chance of a suitable heir.
3) Wing decorations are used to signify when a female dragon is taken. Though fans are preferred, any wing decorations can be used.
Family lines:
1) Though not forced upon, it is highly expected for all adults to have a mate in order to pass down the family line.
2) Young ones who stay in the Clan to pass along their family genes will usually inherit or wear similar apparel as one or both of the parents to signify their ties to the line.
Example: The Trainer's family line will most likely be seen wearing apparel that is part of the Crismon Rogue outfit.
The only exception to this is when it is a female taking on the role of nesting mother, or something in the family happens that a change of apparel is needed.
