(EX: 1st gen Alpha ranks over 2nd gen Alpha)

Note: First Generation Dragons were made directly by their deity, making it so they have no parents. They are then given to a clan. Another way is if both parents of a dragon have been exalted. First Gen dragons are given a distinct mark by their deity.

Generation is determined by either the note above OR the lineage of the parents. I take both parents and pick one of their parents to trace back, counting generations. Then I take both parents and compare to see how many they have in common, then I take the lowest number. (Ex: If one parent has three generations but the other has five, I use three)

These methods are ONLY used to produce the numbers for their generations and are seen differently in the series.

-Story-
In the Sakura Clan, things are done with tradition in mind. You may choose to mate for life or with whomever you please, the only exception is finding your True Mate. They encompass a large area of their world and yet manage to ream in the shadows out of tradition more than the fear of humans.

When the two leaders of the disjointed clan decided to come together in true peace, it caused a wave of shock. Many were concerned that the rivalry would be too much, causing trouble. Because of this, they split the territory in half, each ruling one part and remaining equal to the other. To this day, there remains two Alphas and their courts.

Only the direct child of an alpha may be an heir. Betas are diplomats who go to foreign clans to promote trading and continued peace. They also help manage the territories. Omegas serve the purpose of teaching and training the young of the courts, as well as magical training and practice. The Guard are the elite force that protects the court and clan from invaders and those who would do harm.

Finally, the Classless are the average citizens of the realms. They may hold any job and are equal to one another in all ways. Their rulers are careful to ensure their safety and making sure they remain taken care of. They may often apply for a court position, should they show the aptitude for that specific job.
