Once a Guardian named Sarval realized that her clan was her charge she began doing her best to expand and bring in the best dragons to help her.
The rest of the world thinks that our beloved Shadowbinder befouls the pool in the Forum of the Obscured Crescent out of greed, but no! She does it to protect us. A number of my clan have gone places they shouldn't in the Tanglewood and now they are strange in countenance and no longer act as they should. The dark mother protects us from that which dragon was not meant to know. We live in the shattered ruins of a society which delved too deep into forbidden knowledge and their land itself fell into shadow after all.
I now have a wordpress where I'm posting lore along some other stuff.
