Long ago, the Gemseekers traversed the land, raiding hoards and caverns for the most precious and beautiful of jewels. The Gemseekers are marked by the opals embedded in their skins, and used to pride themselves greatly on the shine and colour of them.

But those days could not last. The Gemseekers were raided by an army made up of those they had scorned and stolen from, and were left with nothing but their opal-skins to prove who they were. Deeply bitter, they huddled in the Driftwood Drag to finally set down unwilling roots, and to wait.

These dragons are now of the Clan Bortz, an amalgamation of the Gemseekers' remaining bloodlines and others drawn to the shadows. Queen Soluna leads them, quietly, gathering up treasure slow but steadily. One day, she is determined, the Gemseekers will reign again.
