Welcome to the Iter Cognatione, or Traveling Clan. This is a clan known for their shimmering coloration and ferocious attitude, as well as the matriarchal hierarchy displayed by its dragons. Rather than the standard of dragon lore in which the male presents the female with a gift, such as a choice gem, or performs an intricate mating dance, the female dragon woos her potential mate through a carefully selected gift of food and awaits his acceptance of her proposal with enthusiasm. Should they become mates, they are bonded for life (basically no one night stands.)
Another clan tradition is the choosing of Latin names for clan leaders, for example:

Clan Alpha: Hyacinthum Araneam
Second-in-command: Reginam Warhead
Healer: Confervo Silex
All dragons older than 5 days that have not yet found a new clan are known as Caelebs. A Caeleb can never remain in the clan for more than a few weeks; if the fourteen day mark is reached and the Caeleb has not been chosen and paid for by another clan, it is sent out to the first one to take it (with no treasure offered.) This angers the clan superiors, so they try to make sure to sell the Caelebs as quickly as possible.
