Living in a clan situated at the very bottom of the Observatory changes you. Not emotionally, in the sense that it changed your life and you now have a positive outlook on everything, but in the sense that it warps your very being, your very soul.
This is why only the most ancient clans, who have pledged their very existence to the Arcanist, dare to live there, happy to bathe in the radiation that permeates the area. Clan Spectrae is one of them, and its few permanent non-arcane inhabitants all have a bodily mutation of some sort. Its non-permanent inhabitants are all warriors, spread throughout the Arcane territory and traveling to many different clans in order to help create and bolster their forces.
