Cultist's Clan
Clan Info
At first, the cult had only one goal: To expand. The dragons mated at every opportunity with no care for what their offsprings would be like - plain guardians with fine Wildclaws, Mirrors with Spirals, producing dull and colorless fodder for the rituals and rites. It went on for several months, the lair expanded as was needed to accompdate the worthless spawns, mindless minions sprouting from the nests.
This, however, was all soon to change as a new recruit took it's place among the the old inhabitants of the Lair...
And so it came to pass that the Countess, who once bathed in rejuvenating blood of a hundred maidens, took her place and rose through the ranks of the Cult. The first days of her reign were colourful as her scales as she steered the clan from the slow descent of degeneration into the path of greed and power.
She saw that the Cult, though numerous, was weak. She named each and every childe after their most prominent flaw and failing, and they were cast out in the First Great Purge, only fit to serve as minions in the Eternal War of Dominance.
She saw that the Cult was dull, and held little in the way of talent. It could not prosper by simply expanding - No, to prosper it would need competence, and that is not gained through uncontrolled inbreeding. And so the Cult set out to recruit through guile, temptation and greed, prominent members of other flights.
She saw that the Cult was poor. To change this, breeding would need to be controlled, and declared that offspring should not be produced for it's own sake. She made it known that no weak individuals should be harbored among the Cultists, but instead they would be sold for the highest bidder to fund Cult's activities.
