Zephyr glided down, marvelling the ruins of the sparkling Sundial Terrace, having just consulted the Lightweaver and agreed on the perfect place for her new lair. It would be magnificent, the shimmering stone blocks of the ruins nearby would shield her hatchery from the worst of the heat. It was roasting in the circle of crumbling towers. She angled her bright blue wings and landed, sending a cloud of ancient dust swirling around her. She was a Guardian, one of the biggest dragons and with a lot of power, but she hadn't found anything to guard yet. She thought her new lair would be a huge task, but it wasn't enough. As she cleared a space for her food to go, she thought about her predicament. She didn't notice a tomato coloured Fae land next to her and take a short, wobbly bow. He flapped his wings a little impatiently and let out a shrill 'kee kee'. Zephyr turned her large head to regard the strange little visiter, and let out a puff of smoke. The Fae, stepping back a little, bowed again and came forward enquiringly, tilting his tiny head. Zephyr realised what he wanted - to be a part of her clan! She looked him up and down, and nodded her head. He squealed in delight and did a cartwheel in the air, knocking into a pillar as he did so. Zephyr chuckled, she was charmed with her newest member. They agreed to share a nest together, to boost the clan's numbers. Soon Zephyr was sitting on a quaint nest of eggs, sunbathing. As she rolled on her back and saw her mate spiralling into the sky, she decided this was the start of a very special clan indeed.
