Gaius is merely an innocent peddler - or so would he have you believe.

In truth, most of his youth was spent hopping from clan to clan, leaving only after they mysteriously found that several thousands of coins and other valuables had gone missing. It wasn’t the most predictable or easy life, but it was exciting, and a thrill like that entices any dragon without a home.

Though he never spent very long in one place, Gaius has still amassed an impressive amount of experience. Perhaps his own, quick-witted and sharp-tongued personality plays a role as well, but Gaius has the stunning ability to get along with nearly any dragon, no matter how much they might despise his thieving antics. For actually forming friendships, however, he leaves to soon.

It was after a failed attempt at the Clan that he was offered a way to better his life, an offer which he - surprisingly - accepted. There is a good chance that the still-existing possibility to scam those who now would be his customers out of their money was some sort of factor, but it seems that either way, Gaius is enjoying his new life.

Now, he flies from clan to clan offering any other the wares his own clan created - with perhaps some special attribute added to them that definitely means they’re worth twice as much, trust me, I know about this stuff - though it has occured before that a dragon recognized their former member.

And as always, he has no trouble playing it off.
