History Son of the great Emerald. Once the Crown Prince, often called the Opal Prince due to the unusual patterning on his body and wings. He recently lost his position as Emerald's heir when his older brother DropOfGold began developing golden scales, and was elevated to Crown Prince at Emerald's decree. After years of successfully ruling at his father's side, Tairus couldn't help but feel resentful at this. His resentment wasincreased by the fact that he only recently fought off a challenge from his younger brother, SmokySapphire. Having battled ferociously to protect his place, it was galling to find himself dethroned by Emerald's command. In the end, dispirited and down at heart, he stripped off his opal and gold scales and became a simple gardener, using his magic to help feed the Clan. He transforms his produce into glorious salads for the Clan as well. Flowers bloom in his wake, and he no longer wears a crown, only a small fillet as a modest reminder of his royalty and his lost status. |
