A COATL DIPS her head to you as you approach, her expression serious. "Oh...welcome," she says, with an odd accent you can't quite place. Though she smiles little, there's a warmth in her eyes that puts you at ease. "Can I help you?" >> I'm here for the rescue. What you think might be a smile crosses her face. "Of course," she says, "do you need a place to stay, or are you looking for a new Clanmate?" She hands you a paper. "Start with the rules here, and if you've got questions to spare, come back and ask me." |

How can I help out the rescue?
There is absolutely no obligation to, but any donation is always hugely appreciated! Treasure and gems, genes I need for rescues (listed on my clan profile), and food (usually meat and insects) are all incredibly helpful. Lore and art for the rescues are some of the most generous donations, and even an outfit design is really lovely to attach to them!

Can I donate *less than or equal to five dragons* to you? Yes - no need to ask! Just send them to me in a crossroads and I'll accept as soon as possible. Can I donate *more than five dragons* to you? I only accept five dragons from a single lair per week, unless you ask me beforehand to explain the situation (eg. leaving Flight Rising). |
Can I rename/change lore on these dragons? Absolutely! You can do anything you like with them at all, I'd just prefer they weren't exalted! Do you accept random friend requests? Yes! Feel free to say hi anytime you like, or if you just want to keep tabs on the rescue that's more than okay too. |

PEARL Pearl is an unlikely and accidental founder for a growing rescue organization. She....never really meant to be here, honestly, having a small Clan and then a sanctuary would've sounded ridiculous to her years in the past. When she was young, she and her dear friend Topaz roamed the Wind territories together - two outcast orphans that understood each other better than they understood themselves. They were happy that way - at least, Pearl thought they were - without any allegiance to a familial Clan or responsibilities. Pearl was quiet and Topaz spoke enough for them both, while Pearl often planned flying routes, drawing wind charts and maps of places they visited. She was happy that way. She was fine not seeing many other dragons; she enjoyed the easy comfort she shared with Topaz alone. And then, things began to change. Topaz wanted more from their relationship - mateship, hatchlings, a place to call home. He was lonely, he said, and Pearl...accepted, hesitantly, terrified of leaving the skies but unable to begrudge Topaz what he wanted if he was so unhappy. There, in the Zephyr Steppes, she never slept. She watched dragons swoop through the sky, joyful, free, while she remained earthbound carrying an egg as Topaz flew off, finding more dragons to join their new Clan. She had always been quiet, but after her dragonet was born she lapsed into silence. But she loved Flawa, and dreamed of taking her to the skies to explore when she grew, her bright yellow scales glinting in the light. |

But then they were attacked, and Pearl would never see Flawa again. Bandits, power-hungry, stole her dragonet and treasure and killed several of their Clanmates in the process. Many others left afterwards, having lost mates, friends, and siblings. Pearl and Topaz grew further and further apart as Pearl became cold, focusing all her effort onto protecting her small group and working alone to improve their lands, while Topaz became lost in grief. Soon he left too, realizing he had failed to listen to Pearl's unspoken protests and sensible hesitation. Pearl never wanted another hatchling to be taken away to be sold into servitude. One was too many. With the help of some kind-hearted dragons, she converted her Clan to rescue those dragons that would otherwise be lost and easily preyed upon. Despite her quiet and sometimes strange temperament, she has grown into a widely respected leader, with a head for numbers and a sharp sense of intuition. She no longer misses the open skies, but is content with watching the stars by night and flights over their territory. Nothing is the same, but all is well. Slowly, she even learns to trust again.
