Hold up! You better don’t eat that candy he just gave you, no matter how tasty it looks and how tempting its smell. While Sugarkiss is known to be a sweetheart to his clan mates, especially the hatchlings and half-growns, giving out candy and other sweet treats aplenty (cupcakes and donuts are two of his specialties), strangers to the clan should beware.

Sugarkiss has a habit to put nasty ingredients into his creations – anything from bugs, spiders, small bones, eyes, sedatives or even poison is fair game for him, and he delights in coming up with ever new creations, one more nasty than the next. He would never give these sweets to his own clan mates of course, and safely locks them away, so that no curious hatchling can accidentally take a bite, but he just can’t help himself when it comes to making these horrible treats.

The clan uses this obscure hobby to its advantage, ordering the wildclaw to make great quantities of some “special” treat, usually containing sedatives or poison, which will then be distributed to unwary travellers or younglings from rival clans, or sometimes simply deposited close to the lairs, often by Sugarkiss himself. His charming personality and sweet words, coupled with his innocent appearance, are bound to wrap even the most distrustful of dragons around his claws, and they’ll leave with a whole handful of his sweets, not aware of the nasty surprise that awaits them.

Once the target clan has been knocked out, Sugarkiss’ clan mates have an easy time collecting treasure and food to their heart's content, without having to put up a fight. Sometimes, however, they simply want to mock their rivals with a nasty surprise and show their distaste towards them, in which case Sugarkiss will come up with a number of gross things to put into his sweets and candy, which will then be delivered as a lovingly crafted “gift” to the unsuspecting victims.

It is this weird knack for making gross candy and sweets that has granted Sugarkiss his place in the clan, though treating his clan mates with delicious sweets unarguably has helped a lot, too. Unlike some of his clan mates, who were stolen either as eggs or at a young age, he chose to join the clan on his own together with his mate, Honeybee. In fact, it was mostly Honeybee’s decision to join, and he simply tagged along.

The two met on their travels when they were still young, both of them looking for a new home to stay, and fell in love with each other. At first, it were Honeybee’s bright colors that reminded him of candy, so similar to his own markings, that made him interested in her, but he soon learned to love her even more for her passion and insatiable curiosity, and most of all, her unwavering determination in following her dreams.

Even though they have been together for many years now and are both adults, he still feels like a half-grown whenever he looks at her, feeling just as giddy and exited as on the day he met her. Many of his treats were designed and named after her – “Honey’s Sweet Delight”, “The Bee’s Flight” and “The Honeybee’s Kiss” are just three examples.

"Did you know? My pop's name isn't actually Sugarkiss! Everyone just calls him that because of his weird hobby, even mom! Though I guess in her case it's more a term of endearment. As to me, I usually just call him pops, or by his real name.

Oh, what his real name is, you ask? Well, Motley of course!"
