Autumn

Amira's confidant, one of the few she trusts.



Autumn was born in the ashes the same way saplings use forest fires as an opportunity for the best resources. She learned about the hardy plants in the Ashfall Waste first, and continued through all the territories until she reached Sunbeam Ruins. She was taken by the tall grasses, the small flowers that looked like suns. So focused on documenting her findings, she didn't notice as she stepped into fog and lost the light. Hewn City was a dark place, unwelcoming. It was not a place for life to flourish. Even with all it's darkness, Tangled Wood still had it's brightly lit fungi and other alien flora.

Autumn was crushed by the consuming lifelessness. She wandered, feeling like a shell of her former self. The whispers around her were stifling.

Eventually, her head began to clear. She could see - or, feel? - light, warmth - in front of her. She kept moving, the feeling becoming stronger. The fog cleared.

The most beautiful tree she had ever seen was before her.

Autumn learned quite a deal of magic during her travels, and along with her extensive knowledge of botany, she quickly became invaluable to Amira.
