~ the fallen queen ~
She's royalty, the heir of Flame, of fire and embers and sparks.
They gave her the crown; she gave them ashes.
She wanted the world to burn. For honor, for power, for herself. Fire and fuel filled her veins - fire and fuel and all the hate she had.
They ripped the crown from her in blood. She can still hear their whispers, lies behind her back.
"You are not fit to rule."
They told her to leave and she laughed, drawing her flames back like knives.
And then she met him, the wanderer, the one whose name fit him so well.
A Shadow dragon, yet he was afraid of the dark.
How odd.
One shrouded by the night, and yet so similar to her.
The flames are still burning - she can feel them, waiting for the time to bring destruction - but this time, she brings light.
She'd asked him, once, "Why are you so afraid?"
He'd looked at her and his eyes reflected the stars. "Because the world is so hidden. So dark. You never know what lies beneath the surface."
"In that case, I'll light the path for you."
