Story Joyous / Patient / Empathic They say Faron was once someone else entirely; a land-dweller, ever fascinated with the stars above. He became world-renowned for his findings and his research on the skies and night-time constellations. He spent his days in the lands of Arcane, obsessed with the feats of discovery and mysteries of his trade. But the secrets he could uncover by normal means were not enough, and so Faron began a dangerous venture into darker, stranger arts. What happened since has gone unwritten, the incident so fatal and blasphemic that none dare speak of it, and the dragons of his trade decided it was better to banish all mention of it; leaving it to be forgotten in time, rather than someone trying to replicate what Faron did. To remove the memory further, they exiled him to the deepest of oceans. Some said he should have been slain for his actions, but the truth is no-one understands what he has become, and none was brave enough to find out. Faron himself remembers little of his past life and persona. Whether it is intended by his former colleagues or an after-effect of his incident remains unknown. What is certain is that he is no longer quite a dragon, but rather something strange, something unknown. The Clan was disturbed when they first found him but knew that leaving him in the darkness would have been his death, and so they gave him a home here. With no memories of himself and a very thankful heart, Faron began giving back in whatever way he could. His patient demeanor and warmth proved to make him an excellent teacher, and he spends his days teaching the younger dragons the ways of the world. Alongside him, one can often find Elyan. Together, they complement one another in different subjects, the young knight having been taught from a different school entirely. Although he is unlike the others, Faron is a happy hybrid-dragon, and nothing ever seems to bring him low. He is grateful for life and the friends around him, and he has a warm attitude toward everyone. Whenever something goes wrong he is the first to laugh about it, and he believes that anyone can accomplish what they set out to do if they keep the right attitude. Only on the quietest of nights can one find Faron alone in the broken tower, lost in thoughts gone, his blue eyes looking through the dark waters above towards something that cannot be seen. |
