Nagaina, Mother Snake
Empatheia, House Risk
3rd generation Night Warrior.
Description
Nagaina is undeniably a shrewd and keen-eyed dragon, dwelling deep under the grounds of the Empatheian court and serving to install and replace water pipes, as well as patrol and protect the underground walkways from intrusion. Despite occasionally crossing over into the capital's sewers scents don't seem to stick easily to Nagaina and she's yet to have missed a day of work due to illness.
Fighting is in Nagaina's blood, and while it is rare to see her lift a claw or bare teeth at anyone unthreatened she will defend her social status and clanmates to the last breath. Stealth is another talent that one might not have expected from a dragon whose line of work is mostly out of earshot of her fellows, and for as often as she goes aboveground to refill her pantry, buy soaps and other essential supplies and attend House Risk meetings as an auxiliary member it can be troublesome to find her when she doesn't want to be found.
-Events-
9/24/17 - Nagaina inherits a mushroom farm from Rapier. She quickly begins searching for workers to keep it running.
10/2/17 - Nagaina catches Rhylaste in the act of stealing a pheasant from the pens. Rather than punish the mutated fae, she takes him to her place of work, claiming to be his mother.
1/26/18 - Rhylaste falls ill. He complains of a pain in his chest and runs a very high fever.
1/28/18 - Rhylaste dies. Ilphnitra fights Nagaina over the corpse, stealing away the remains to bring to the clan's pathologist. Nagaina is distressed.
3/13-18/18 - A torn water pipe results in a chance meeting of Tirade, Rick, Tyrrel and Nagaina. They all get along swimmingly, with a shared love of coffee and interest in engineering (though less so in Tyrrel's case) bringing them all together.
7/22/18 - 8/2/18 - Nagaina visits Railclaw to enjoy the festivities during Thundercrack. She assists the local dragons with plumbing issues while there.
9/2/19 -Nagaina reports Roderick's death after he fails to return from a maintenance visit to Empatheia. His apprentice and adopted son, Rufus, is left to tie up the loose ends of his business and assign new dragons to the tasks he left unfinished. The incident convinces Nagaina to start searching for an apprentice.
