Bloody, bold, and resolute indeed. Joji is half-demon, half-dragon, spawn of an unholy union between a practitioner of magic and the incubus she summoned. As a child he was abandoned to fend for himself, as his mother grew aware of his darker tendencies and habit of violent outbursts. He was left in the Tangled Wood, and although any other hatchling would have been lost forever amongst the living shadows, he somehow managed to survive and emerge stronger than ever. Joji, full-grown, began his reign of terror on the land—subjugating those weaker than him with his fierce strength and his talented control of shadow and fire magic. He grew tired of the Tangled Wood that had imprisoned him as a child, and quickly looked towards other lands in search of new conquests. He traveled to the Scarred Wasteland, but his love of beauty caused him to shun it as a possible territory, and he eventually decided to continue onto the Starfall Isles. Joji may have been the end of many unsuspecting dragons, but as soon he set foot in the islands he was greeted by a small blue-and-pink fae, who politely demanded he repent of his wicked ways and join her clan. He sneered at her and fought her, but to his great surprise she handily defeated him with her magic. This was repeated three times in all as he fled and returned until at last, confused and humbled, he agreed to see what Clan Lodestar was all about. Arrogant, tricky, and charming, Joji is proud of his power and not afraid to say it. His most potent power is the ability to dominate other dragon's wills and read their minds. His psychic powers have caused him to develop a warped sense of social bonds and interactions, and it took a long time for the dragons to accept him. After controlling many of his darker impulses, he managed for the first time in his life to make a few real friends, which secretly delighted him. It was a novel sensation, to have others genuinely enjoy his company, and he wonders if it can be used for his own purposes... The best cook in the Clan. |
